JOSEPH LAMBERT
For nearly a decade, he has taught an architectural design class with a fascinating challenge: students must design and build a chair with a single 4'x4' sheet of plywood and a Shop-Bot CNC router. On top of these two constraints, each student imposes two of their own, creating a unique set of design problems to solve.
Inspired by the creativity of his students, the artist took on the same challenge himself. The chairs in this exhibition are the direct result of that self-imposed assignment—a testament to problem-solving, design, and a deep engagement with the creative process.
